Have You Heard Of Wedding Planning Consultant

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Back then, hiring marriage planners is an extravagance. As the quantity of couples who use the services of marriage coordinators rise, this bit of the marriage industry showed a high potential for being a business or career.

Such viability is evident in the rising number of businesses that offers wedding planning services. The Internet also became the venue of this burgeoning industry in stretching its terrains even to technology and education sector. A few marriage planners now offer downloadable marriage planning programs that is a guide to couples. Schools also now embrace the idea of offering wedding planning career programs.

As its name suggest, wedding planners, also called wedding consultants, bridal consultants, and wedding coordinators, plan the big day. The question is why the demand for wedding consultants is continually rising.

The Gatlin Education Services (GES) said that a professional wedding consultant is skilled in events planning and monetary management. GES provides online work force to numerous schools and varsities for their career programs including ratification for wedding planning programs.

The abilities include creativeness on one or two facets of design and decoration, insider’s information with and network of the finest sellers in the town, and updated info on virtually all areas of marriage rites.

GES further put weight on the role of wedding consultants by encapsulating in its job description every detail—it may be small or substantialóof the wedding, such as conception of theme and decorations, contracts, ceremony details, and industry formulas for deliveries.

Especially , a marriage advisor receives, makes, documents telefone calls, and schedules appointments with clients and sellers, helps clients with their marriage clothes selection, tracks budget and plans projects, visits sites for locale selection, troubleshoots and clears up issues, manages and representatives task, collects payments, and the like.

With such arduous work of planning a wedding, several brides opt to hire wedding consultants. The SuperWeddings.com’s survey proved that 72% of lately married brides regretted not having employed a marriage expert while 49% asserted that hiring one is the urgent detail they missed about their complete marriages.

It is no doubt the employment of wedding planners was projected to increase by 20% between 2006 and 2016, according to the United States Bureau of Labor and Statistics. In addition, wedding planners have a relatively high earningóa 10 – 15% of the total wedding expenditures.

GES is just one of the many schools that spurred following the rise in the demand for such profession. GES standardized the curriculum, instruction, and evaluation of the Certified Planning Program across its partner schools. Since 1999, the SuperWeddings has been offering a certification program. An online program though, but it provides a close student – teacher relationship.

In the United Kingdom, the Wedding Planning School’s (WPS) curriculum covers all aspects of wedding and event management. It provides coaching locations in Bristol, London, Manchester, and Leeds. The WPS also offers licensed programs with classes during weekends and distance learning courses. Another example is the United States Career Institute (USCSI) that offers an online four-month training only for wedding consultants.

Plan The “Perfect” Wedding Without Stress

Saturday, March 24th, 2012

by Maureen Thomson

My second born daughter was married last year. Because she was a “Straight A” student throughout high school, I knew what to expect-she would want everything perfectly done. Planning her wedding was no exception. Alyssa knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it done. Did that make her insufferable? Not in the least (and I’m not just saying that because I gave her life!)

The reason was that Alyssa kept everything in perspective. She knew what she wanted, but she was also grounded in terms of other realities, such as time, our budget, and available resources. She also knew when to stop controlling the process and delegate some of the work. In the end, this gave her (and her sweetie) enough room to sit back and really enjoy the ride.

Most important, Alyssa’s desire for a just-so wedding stemmed from her and her fiancée’s wish to have it so, and not the need to appease outside sources or adhere to the unspoken needs of others. They were not there to keep up with the Jones (which would have been an easy trap to fall into , since six of their friends also had weddings last year); they did not concern themselves with outdated rules of etiquette or “shoulds”. They simply planned what they wanted, developed a budget and set about making it happen

Daniel Pink takes on this issue in a recent blog post. “Is Perfectionism a Problem or an advantage?” The short answer?  It depends on whether the perfectionist’s attitude is “motivated from an inner urge or an outside push.”  If you want things “just so” because the idea of having it that way fulfills your fantasy, thoughts and wishes of how your wedding day should look, then so be it However if you are using the occasion of your nuptuals to fulfill someone else’s rigid idea of how things should be done “happily ever after” might not be the outcome.

So, if you’re naturally picky and detail oriented and that attribute will extend to your wedding planning , then have at it. Just try to keep the following in mind.

  • Stick to your budget Wanting something a certain way does not mean you should go beyond your means to attain it. You may think it will be a blast to take 50 friends and family members for a luxury yacht cruise the day after your wedding, but if you have to max out your credit card(s) to pull it off it won’t be worth it in the end.
  • Remember that not everyone will embrace your pickiness with the same enthusiasm that you do. If your maid of honor doesn’t tie the bows on your ceremony programs perfectly evenly (and that bothers you), then you’d better plan to do it yourself–and without complaint.
  • Be vigilant about the source of your perfectionist desires. If you start to notice that you are beginning to march to someone else’s drummer over pleasing yourself, then stop reconsider and get back on track.
  • Pick your battles. Is your bridesmaid’s bright green hair going to spoil the look you’re aiming for enough to take a stand? Is serving meat at the reception going to be impossible for your vegetarian self or can you live with a choice of a meat dish or a vegan option to appease your meat-eating guests? Is the fact that your best man refuses to wear socks with his tux a deal-breaker? Each of these things might not be your preference, but are they all worth going into battle for? Keep in mind that if you have to control every minute detail of the day from start to finish, you might end up being more frazzled than fresh by the end of it all.
  • Allow ample time. Many a picky bride has ended up in tears not because her expectations were unreasonable, but because she didn’t allow enough time to fulfill them. If you want a certain shade of cranberry red paper for your wedding invitations, then you might have to go to several places to find it.
  • Realize when to let go . Having a desire for something (even a strong one that is really, really, really important) doesn’t give you the OK to get out of control (can you spell B-r-i-d-e-z-i-l-l-a?) if your wish doesn’t become reality. So, if the bagpiper you’ve had your heart set on for your ceremony is already booked on the day of your ceremony, then find another bagpiper or change the date. There can be a fine line between perfectionism and immaturity. Don’t cross it!
  • Don’t allow others to make you feel badly because they label you a “perfectionist”. Jokingly let them know that you are not a perfectionist…you’re just particular and you know what you want. Then move on to the next item on your to do list. You don’t need dream-bashers spoiling your wedding planning.

The Entire Point Of A Wedding Shower Party Is To Make The Bride Enjoy Her Last Moments As A Single Lady

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

A bridal show is all about a confirmation of moving from singlehood to married life.

The bridal shower party typically consists of the bride-to-be, single mates, close squeezes and maids of honor.

The bridal shower hostess will come up with ideas and activities to make the bridal shower unforgettable. These include the theme, any games, the food, and the gifts and entertainment.

The bridal shower ideas or themes may vary according to the likes and interests of the bride.

If she adores cooking, then it might be a food theme whereby the party is held in a home and the friends can help to make a meal which she generally loves cooking herself. Even a disco theme can be held if the bride is a party animal.

If she likes adventure, then the shower can be held away from her regular surroundings. The hostess could also organize a trip to a perfect destination, for both the bride and the bridal shower party.

A spa and beauty theme is acceptable for the bride-to-be who loves to pamper herself. This is done at a beach spa hotel, with the usual spa activities.Gifts are offered to the bride, which includes items that will remind her of the friends she'll be leaving behind.

At that point, games are introduced, which should depend on the age grouping of the bridal party. This may be trivialities questions, truth or dare, a dancing competition, or even a tissue wedding ensemble where the bride is wrapped up in tissue paper.

The bridal party can then recount the moments they have shared as they drink and eat while enjoying their favourite music.

The dream of each bride is to have an ideal fairytale wedding service and rite; it needs a lot of love, patience and commitment to devise a marriage, but don't worry, because that is what online marriage planners are for.

Painless Ideas To Cut Wedding Costs

Sunday, March 11th, 2012

Everyone wants to have a beautiful wedding, but not everyone has an unlimited budget. What stumps people sometimes is how to spend less without it showing, but it can be done. Learn how you can have an affordable wedding without looking cheap.

This may seem like a no-brainer, but do not buy something if you can get it for nothing. It sounds simplistic, but it’s true. Why buy bridal magazines when you can get your inspiration from free wedding ebooks full of great articles and pretty pictures? Rather than buying a wedding planning book, use free tools online to organize your to-do list and track your budget. Every time you go to a wedding expo, sign up to win the free stuff. Even small savings will add up over time.

Another important tip is to skip the non-essentials. So many brides only know what they see on tv, and don’t know that most real weddings are not nearly so elaborate. Your guests will not walk into your wedding reception and demand to know why there is no ice sculpture or vodka luge. It is really okay not to have colorful uplighting at your reception. As long as you have plenty of good food and good music, your wedding will be a success. Your guests will not care that you skipped on the personalized ribbon on the favor boxes.

Some things are so easy to make yourself that there is no reason to pay someone else to do it. You don’t really need a lot of creative skills to paste your pictures into a nice photo album. You will save hundreds simply by not having the photographer assemble your book. A lot of women have creative talents they can tap into to save on their weddings. If you are excellent at doing your own makeup, there is no need to hire a makeup artist. Home printers are so good these days that you can create professional looking stationery for a fraction of the cost of ordering it. You might find that creating things is so much fun that you want to take on a few more wedding crafts. Consult free wedding ideas ebooks to get inspiration for pretty DIY wedding crafts. Not only can you save money, it will also add a nice personal touch to your wedding.

It is remarkable how many little things you can do differently to create big savings. Just topping your cake wtih fresh flowers instead of elaborate gum paste blossoms can save a ton. A few special drinks can take the place of a fully stocked liquor supply. If you do decide to spend a little extra on a part of your wedding, be sure you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. It is worthwhile to buy wedding jewelry that you can wear again, but not so smart to invest in a crystal monogram on the sole of your bridal shoes. As long as you spend your money smartly, you can have a wonderful wedding without overspending.

Wedding Concepts That Are No Longer True

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Everything chances from one generation to the next, and that includes weddings. People are beginning to re-think some of the old wedding ideas. Find out which wedding rituals have fallen by the wayside.

One: The Wedding Gift Should Cost As Much As the Price Per Head. This is a really weird idea. No one is quite sure about the origins of this notion, but it is really outmoded. To begin with, how could you possibly know the formula for how much the price per head is at a wedding? Second of all, a wedding is a celebration of a marriage, not a tit for tat exchange of goods for services. Then how do you know how much you should spend? The amount you can comfortably spend. Normally you would choose to spend a bit more on your dearest friends and a bit less on more casual ones. Just choose something you believe the newlyweds will enjoy, and leave it at that.

Two: Summer Weddings Are Best. The best time of year for a wedding really depends where you live. If you live in South Carolina, having your outdoor barn wedding in May will probably be much more comfortable than having it in the dog days of August. In the Northeast, couples love to have fall foliage weddings. In most parts of the country, May and October are more popular than June for weddings. Just choose the season that fits your needs, and don’t worry about old customs.

Three: Lavish Wedding Favors Are Required. The effort that brides put into designing impressive favors is largely wasted, because most people don’t care much about them. People are not highly likely to display anything with someone else’s wedding date on it in their home. And that monogrammed ribbon on the boxes is going to be thrown away, just like plain ribbon would be. There is no need to tie pearls to the bow on the favor to match your pearl bridal jewelry. To show your appreciation for your guests, give them a favor they can eat. Consider favors that are linked to your main wedding motif or theme. Something like a tiny basket of fresh strawberries makes a fantastic favor for a summer outdoor barn wedding. Everyone likes getting a sweet treat.

Four: The Marriage Will Be Unlucky If The Groom Sees The Bride In Her Wedding Gown Before The Ceremony. It can make the processional a bit anti-climactic, but it is not going to cause any harm to the couple. This old superstition goes back to the days when arranged marriages were common. The parents didn’t want their children to back out from the marriage if they didn’t like the looks of the partner their parent chose for them. To prevent that from happening, the couple was kept apart until they were legally wed and there was no backing out! Couples sometimes opt to do a “first look” preceding their nuptials. Brides often do choose to keep their dress a secret from their groom until they walk down the aisle, but there is no risk of being cursed if you don’t follow tradition.

Do you know of any other wedding customs that are now outdated?

Lovely Custom Elements For A Wedding Cake

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Everyone remembers the cake at a wedding, so make sure that yours is memorable. Your wedding cake will be fantastic if you personalize it. Check out these great wedding ideas for easy ways to personalize your cake.

Piped frosting messages can be a wonderful design idea. Maybe you have your initials created in Swarovski crystals, just like your bridal jewelry. Or perhaps you have the florist pipe a section of your marriage vows around the bottom tier of your dessert. Some couples like to choose a catchphrase like Happily Ever After or Forever to write on their cake. Try a classic black on white script for an elegant effect. It can be terrific to express your feelings in text on the cake.

Another fun wedding planning idea is to use a picture of the bride and groom on the cake. It should not be done to look like one of those children’s birthday cakes with the picture on the top, so take care with the design. It would be cute to order a one of a kind topper made to look like the happy couple. For a completely custom cake, decorate it with pictures of the happy couple. For something different, have the baker create silhouettes of the bride and groom to adorn the cake. That would be a subtle take on the picture idea, as well as a lovely retro accent.

Wedding cakes can also be personalized to reflect your interests or hobbies. Couples have been doing this with the groom’s cake for generations, but there is no reason this idea cannot be used on the big cake as well. The cake topper can definitely be an opportunity for self expression. You can find ones based around numerous popular activities, such as golf, fishing, and tennis. A lot of couples like to create a confection that showcases their interests. It could be anything, and it does not have to tie in with your wedding theme. When the cake works with the wedding colors or how formal it is, it is sure to be great.

It is very sweet to plan a wedding cake that matches your attire or jewelry. Personally, I think it looks absolutely exquisite to see a confection decorated with fondant lace made in the exact pattern as the embellishments on the bride’s dress. Another option is to coordinate the cake details to a standout feature of the bridal jewelry. Every unique accent you include in your wedding day will make it even more special.

Have You Heard Of Wedding Planning For A Beach Set Up

Wednesday, March 7th, 2012

Today, modern couples are really sanctified because they have got an option not to wear heavy and formal robes by planning a beach wedding. In this sort of marriage, brides and bridegrooms do not have to fret about selecting a formalised robe because they are able to only wear a beach bridal ensemble for ladies or two shorts and loose shirts for men.

Selecting a clothes for the beach marriage

Experts say that in all of the modern concepts of wedding, beach theme is one of the most popular. Because of this popularity, beach wedding attire has become a common option for this themed wedding because they are easy to choose and to carry.

The clothes might be straightforward to pick initially but finding clothes that’s OK for the beach’s condition may be hard. For most brides, finding a beach wedding dress is the most suitable option since it requires lesser time in finding what to wear for the occasion. Since they can save time, brides who prefer wearing a beach wedding dress can have more time to plan and carry out details of the entire ceremony.

Aside from being hassle free, a beach wedding is also ideal because it can provide you with utmost comfort during this stressful time. It is also less expensive compared to the traditional wedding gowns or suits out there because beach wedding attires usually come in simple cuts and designs meant for the location.

Also, before purchasing beach marriage clothes for me and ladies, ensure that this is meant to adhere to the profiles of the body. A beach wedding attire should be pared down and slim fit to ensure that you won’t be distracted once the wind caught the hem or any part of your dress. Perfect options for a beach wedding dress include straight-line wedding outfits, mermaid cut wedding outfits and the ones that are princess line cut to make certain that you can move about simply. Aside from portability because of the use of lightweight material, also make sure that the beach wedding dress is easy to transport by avoiding too much detail or accessories on it.

Next consideration would be the average temperature. If the beach where the celebration will happen is in a tropical country like in Boracay, Philippines, select a beach marriage robe or clothes that’s made cotton or something which will let the air pass thru. Aside from the material used, also choose designs that will let you breathe from the harsh heat of the area. Ideal cuts for brides would be sleeveless, tube, strapless, or off-the-shoulder ones because these can give you ultimate comfort despite direct exposure to the beach.

The type of fabric is also a big consideration when planning for a beach wedding. If you’re selecting beach marriage clothes for your gigantic and special day, make certain you choose the ones that are styles and cuts made of fabrics that are light like organza or chiffon. This will ensure that you will be comfortable despite the harsh winds and heat of the beach.

An Introduction To The Wedding Planning Checklist

Monday, February 20th, 2012

Basically finding a free wedding planner is not difficult. Now there are many wedding websites have them free to download and most bridal magazines will carry a version you can’t out keep. The trick is to find one which you can use efficiently and which corresponds with your wedding plans. This is really not as easy as it may seem as most wedding planning checklist are designed according to a generic template and so may not suit every wedding. An event manager who also knew much about the luxury accommodation NZ and some wonderful bay of islands accommodation provided the following information.

Downloading a free website planner checklist is the best form of checklist to obtain as you can then edit it using word processing software to fit with your wedding style and also plans. You can also adjust the timeline, which is usually over an 18 months period, to fit with the time you have let till your wedding day.

However, please do not try to settle for the first checklist you come across. Make sure you find the one which contains enough details for you to efficiently plan your wedding and one which will ensure you to do not omit anything important or forgot any of the finishing touches. You also need to make sure that each segment contains the correct tasks for that period within your planning.

A bad checklist will have you ordering your cake too early or your wedding favors too late. Sp try to compare several different checklists, both online and in magazines, to find one which best fits the bill. On the other side, you have to look for one which comes with bonus extras, such as an Ebook on wedding planning. This is true that a wedding planning checklist will help you to breakdown your wedding budget so you can see how you have to spend on each element of your wedding, such as your reception, your wedding dress and flowers.

At the same time there are so many things which you have to check out. Free wedding planner checklist can help you to organize the whole event in a proper way. A wedding checklist is an invaluable tool but you need to make sure you pick the right one or your wedding plans could be thrown into disarray. Once you have your checklist make sure you save the original (edited version) on your computer and print out several copies for yourself and everyone else who will be involved in your wedding planning. This could include your groom, your maid of honor, your bridesmaids and your mom. If you need to edit it again you have a copy on your computer which you can quickly change and re-print.

Taking A Look At Ways To Propose In A Fun And Unique Way

Saturday, February 18th, 2012

When the decision has been made that one would like to wed and settle down to a life stuffed with love and contentment, the subsequent thought goes to potential best ways to propose. Let’s have a look at some possibilities now.

Recommendations On How To Propose

One of the finest ways to propose is to take a seat and make a listing of some of the favorite things the bride-to-be enjoys and holds dear. One or more of these special things can then be incorporated into the offer or used as the most important theme for it. As an example if the woman enjoys being out on the water on a bright sunny afternoon where she feels at one with the world and in touch with all the nice stuff round her, can there be a better setting for that proposal?

Another positive proposal is to make absolutely sure all surrounding details and concerns are addressed correctly. Every effort to set the scene properly and romantically will just make the entire experience a noteworthy one that can be treasured for an entire life.

The best and most extraordinary suggestions are often the simplest and most straightforward ones. Going out to a charming candlelit dinner, listening to some soft romantic music and telling the loved one just how special and valuable they're actually goes a great distance.

Some may go for a bit of a rather more dramatic proficiency to getting the task finished. It isn't fully unique but always creates lots of conversation when one takes out an advert in the paper or arranges for mention on the radio or TV that love is in the air and someone wants to marry the girl they adore.

Offers That Are Unique And On A Budget

Not all suggestions need to be expensive and grandiose propositions. One clever fellow hand released a sign saying his request, had his picture taken holding it and included it in a chain of different shots he was showing to the girl he loved.

In today’s world of hitech gizmos, folk are continuing to beat themselves with clever techniques to get the intended message delivered. Tablets, iPods and iPhones all open up a completely new sector of possible ways to get the job finished that are clever and unique.

Another possibility is flashing the planned message onto one’s laptop screen. Of course, getting the message across can and will definitely be surprising and fun handled this way.

A more straightforward but direct likelihood that never seems to be outdated is presenting the proposed bride with a bunch of her favourite flowers setting the stage for the most suitable words and the offering of the ring. This strategy is ageless and never out of favor.

There really are no right or wrong ways to propose. As long as one is truthful and frank and cares sufficiently to make it as special as they presumably can do, the end result will be a treasured memory for an entire life.
